Home Renovation in Augusta

You know those projects that you prefer to put off doing, but when completed it’s the largest feeling of accomplishment? For me, that is home renovations.

Over the years, Walter and I have acquired rental properties and I get the task of making them livable. Man, it’s grueling but rewarding. This past week though I got one home finished! Last year I spent a lot of time getting the inside finished (new paint, new kitchen, updated flooring, cleaned top to bottom, tiled bathroom, sheet-rock work) you know the drill. Now, the outside is complete with caulking, re-painted, and new gutter work. Complete with an adorable audience next door that kept shouting, “Hey, Lady!” as I worked.

Check out the before and after images above to see the transformation.

Tips on home renovations:

  1. No band-aid repairs.
  2. Do it right or you’ll just be wasting your money.
  3. Do the work yourself if you can.
  4. If you can’t do the work, then interview and hire the right person.
  5. Shop sale, discontinued, or slightly damaged items to save money.
